Will Smith appears to have no regrets about smacking the Ukranian reporter who tried to kiss him during an interview on the red carpet.
Appearing on the 'Late Show' Tuesday, Smith explained to David Letterman
how a male reporter from a Ukrainian television station went in for the
kiss during a pre-screening interview for 'Men in Black 3' in Moscow
last Friday.
"He says, 'I'm you're biggest fan, can I have a hug?'" the New York Daily News quoted the actor as saying.
"So I go to give this joker a hug, and he tries to lean in and kiss me!
"It's just awkward," he said.
A video obtained from the incident shows the 'Ali' star pulling away and then slapping sneaky smoocher Vitalii Sediuk.
Smith said officials from the event later apologized, explaining that
trying to kiss celebrities is part of the reporter's schtick.
"Well that's why his a-got schtuck," Smith told Letterman.
