International celebs write their own wedding vows

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin are the latest celeb couple to write their wedding vows. Here's a look at the others who have done so.

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin Clooney and his fiance Amal Alamuddin have reportedly handwritten their own wedding vows, which they will exchange in Italy next month when they get married. The couple are reportedly planning a "small and intimate" celebration but the guest list is unlikely to include too many Hollywood friends as they don't want to attract attention.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Their wedding took place in two different countries (one at Versailles, France and one in Florence, Italy) but West prepared his own handwritten vows well in advance — over a year before their marriage and was reportedly four or five pages long.

Priscilla Chan and Mark Zuckerberg Zuckerberg and his wife reportedly met while at a party while waiting to use the washroom. They got married in their own backyard some time later, wrote their own vows and chose a ruby instead of the traditional diamond ring.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds This hot Hollywood couple also chose to make things more personal and wrote their own wedding vows. Apart from promising mutual love and support, they promised to "make each other laugh". Lively also said that she would "adore" her husband.

Robin Williams and Susan Schneider The late actor made it a point to pay every attention to detail when he got married to Schneider in 2011. Apart from choosing the minister and the location (a luxury resort in Napa Valley, California), the two wrote their own vows, which included the prayer of St. Francis.
