Hospitalised and recovering from a reported drug overdose, Demi Lovato's representative informed the media that the pop singer is awake and with her family, who thanked everyone for their love, support and prayers.
The news of the 25-year-old being hospitalised on Tuesday morning took her fans and the entertainment industry by storm. A law enforcement source reportedly confirmed that she was given Narcan when she was found unconscious and rushed to hospital. The medication is used to reverse an opioid overdose.This incident comes on the heels of the launch of her new song, 'Sober', she launched last month; the lyrics are a confession of sorts where she admits to relapse after six years of sobriety. Among the stars and fans who expressed concern for the singer, featured her ex-boyfriend, Joe Jonas.
Addressing his followers, Joe posted on Instagram, "Like all of you I am thinking of @DDLovato right now...She needs our prayers and support. We all know how strong you are Demi #prayfordemi'." Joe's brothers, singers Nick and Kevin also showed their support online. "Like all of you I am reeling at the news about Demi,' tweeted adding, "All of us love her and need to pray for her to get well. She is a fighter #prayfordemi."
Joe is currently engaged to 'Games of Thrones' star, Sophie Turner.
